Kimberly D. Dodson, Ph.D., is a Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice in the Department of Communication and Social-Cultural Sciences at University of Houston–Clear Lake. She earned her doctorate in criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Dodson is affiliated with UHCL’s Transforming Lives by Degrees Program, providing instruction at the Ramsey Prison Unit. Her research focuses on correctional policy and program evaluation, disability advocacy at the intersection of race and gender, health justice, and systemic inequities. Her work appears in The Prison Journal, Journal of Ethnicity in Criminal Justice, and Journal of Offender Rehabilitation.
