I have over 31 years of experience at the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (Florida). I served in various roles, including Corrections, Patrol, Special Investigations, Community Policing, Training, and Emergency Operations, retiring as a Captain. Since transitioning to academia, I have had the privilege of teaching as an adjunct faculty member for 10 years and, starting in 2023, as a full-time instructor at Keiser University. I am the program director for the Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Operations programs at the Sarasota, Florida, campus. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Criminal Justice, which should be completed in the summer of 2027.
